Whelping is Imminent!

Rowan's temp has been up and down - last evening and this morning it was 99.4. I did go to work today as she was acting fairly normally.

When I arrive home at 2, she had been VERY busy shredding newspaper, throwing the rug in the kitchen around, and balling up her blanket in the whelping box. There are also several toys in the box, and she is studiously carrying them all around the house with her.

When I put her out, she ran to a corner and commenced digging busily. Apparently she plans to have her pups in CHINA...

Right at the moment, she is alternately panting and napping. This part can be quite protracted and we may have a panting, nesting Rowan for quite some time. I think she will likely begin delivering pups tonight, but it could be another few days, as well, altho I doubt it.
