For those of you waiting for puppy news, we sympathize! We, too, are anxious for Rowan to come into season so we can have puppies! Many dogs, like many people, are not completely regular in their ovulation cycles, and Rowan, true to her devilish self, is one of those. However, she has been in season several times, so we know it's just a matter of waiting for the time to be right. Her mother was a bit irregular too, and gave us two nice litters of pups.
She is blissfully unaware of our anxiety - just being Rowan - playing with her ball, tormenting the boys, playing with her grammy Z, helping me rake and dig in the garden...
We did attend the NJ Pointer Specialty last weekend. Carter won the Bred-By Class, Z won her 4th Veteran Sweepstakes, and Rowan showed well in Best of Breed. She has gotten very good in the ring - very sparkly and charismatic. She is extremely sound-moving and beginning to be very reliable about doing what is expected of her. She shows just as she does everything - 110%.
Here's Rowan & her brother (orange) & sister. Rowan is on the right. They are about 3 weeks in this photo.
We are glad for your patience - I know it will be great to have so many nice homes for Rowan & Duncan's puppies. We look forward to being able to post YOUR photos on this blog once the pups have gone home. If you look on the home website at www.CorwynPointers.com, you can see a page called Family Photos that has many photos send by past puppy folks. Some of them are HILARIOUS! I'm thinking of having a photo contest in the fall once the pups have gone home. Perhaps we will have 3 categories: Field, Home and Holiday...
