You can see how she is definitely thicker in the middle - there is a much smaller indentation at the "waistline" and her nipples are quite a bit larger. What is not visible is that the skin above her vulva has begun to relax and sag to make room for puppies to pass thru. Small amounts of milk can be expressed from her breasts.
According to the reproduction book, puppies now have pigmentation to their skin and are about the size of a walnut. (Why is is that food items always make the best descriptive terms for the size and shape of anything to do with the body???) If you think about the size of the pups last week, this means they have tripled in size in just a week.
For the next three weeks (yep, just three weeks to go!) the pups will continue to gain in size and their organs will further develop.
